I purchased a new book called Intermediate Algebra, but I did not get the access code. I do not have the receipt, and I do see a page for my math lab inside the book but without a code or more information on how to sign up for it online.

Pearson Education - Buying textbooks twice

Pearson is a scam. I took a Java course a year ago and bought a $100 online textbook because my professor requires us to take the included quizzes. Our department is so small there are only 3 or 4 Computer Science professors. I'm now taking a higher level course that uses the same textbook. Only now I have to spend $100 to buy the exact same textbook again. It is completely asinine to only give students one measly year access to a textbook with poorly designed interface they paid good money for. They are a HUGE contributor to the problem with students overpaying for education, and this is because they truly couldn't care less about education. It disgusts me that I am required to give money to such a sleazy corporation.

Pearson Education - Textbook question

I called and the first support person was very nice but the person she tranfered me to was not very helpful. I been using Pearson since Spring of 2000 and i have never incountered this type of behavior. I hope this doesnt happened again or I will take my book orders to another publishing company.

I was directed to Vital Source for the book, but unable to download their app to secure the book so I can provide to the student. Not sure why you simply cant send me the extext version since this book was actually purchased without going thru another third party for accessibility. Thank you

Pearson Education - No customer service

I am trying to adopt a text book for a beginning Spanish Course at a university. I need 2 simple questions answered about using the online version of the book from which to teach. I sent 5 emails to different people over 3 days. I asked them to call me as there is no phone number for them. Their response to my 2 questions was to send a desk copy of the text. I already have a copy, that is why I have the questions. They are not listening and they do not help me, the lowly consumers. I am going to order a book from Vista Higher Learning. It is a pity because I really liked the book Hoy Dia.
