Ripped Off & Time Wasted
I've spent 6 hours on the phone with Pearson Technical Support this week. It feels like a part time job.
I first called to verify that the book I was purchasing was correct. They were not able to give me a clear answer, only that "I was not to worry because I can always make a refund if the purchase is wrong." Then I buy the book, it turns out to be the wrong material (I needed MyFinanceLab included, so I purchase the correct materials from University of Florida (my college.) I go back to Pearson for a refund, but they tell me that I cannot return ebooks. I am livid. This is an extra $129 for an extra book I do not need!
I am so upset. They do this to poor college students (like myself, working three jobs to survive in New York City!), and give the worst service ever. I WILL BE TELLING MY UNIVERSITY ABOUT THIS AND YOU SHOULD TOO!
MAKE SURE YOUR SCHOOL STOPS USING PEARSON PRODUCTS! INCLUDE THIS INFORMATION ON YOUR END OF SEMESTER REVIEWS FOR THE PROFESSOR!

Worst customer service on the face of the earth.
My professor sent a link, a log on name, and a password. This brought me to a link that say the item was $80 with free shipping.
Once the item was in the shopping cart, the price changed to $126 plus shipping and tax. I had no option but to order it and thought I could contact customer service to sort things out. However, There is not a customer service telephone number...at all! They also don't respond to emails.
I contacted tech support, who kept me on the phone for two hours only to tell me email was my only option. I emailed them six times and they never replied! Settled it with my bank. Pearson has a good product but they hate their customers and don't want to help them at all.
If there was a choice I would never use them at all. The worst customer service on the planet.

Rules what rules?
Math follows a set of rules. The rules are there for a reason, when your software tells you that your following the wrong rules then turns around on another problem and says what was wrong is right.
You have an issue. Example, adding and subtracting fractions no don't add divide. The following problem same formula then tells you don't divide add. This software trys to teach a method that is confusing and inconsistent with what my Professor is trying to show us.
The solution is ungodly picky and expects you to know. Also why is my TI-84 plus telling me the answer is one number below or above what you are giving me on a problem that you DO NOT ROUND ON.
Person Lab is a waist of money that could be spent on something better. It is a waist of time trying to figure out and the people behind it should be ashamed of there selves.
Pearson Customer Service Sucks!
This past semester I had to use Pearson MyLabsPlus for a 16 week math course I took online. Everything was going good until one day I was doing homework and was unable to save the answers to my math problems that it took me 5-10 minutes to do!
I called customer service and got a lady on the line. The connection on their phones SUCK! I was able to get someone on the phone within 2 minutes but there was a bunch of static on the line. PROBLEM 1!
I called back and got a guy named Bob. He was HORRIBLE. He asked my name, number, and email address but kept asking me to repeat everything literally 5 times. I immediately got upset and asked to speak to a supervisor.
I mean it shouldn't take 20 minutes just to collect my name, email, and number. PROBLEM 2! He sounded disappointed. He said he would transfer me to a supervisor.
After waiting for 5 minutes, I hung up and called back. This time I got a different guy on the line. He was giving me attitude asking what class I was taking and acting like I was annoying him when I expressed what was going on. After about 10 minutes, I was able to get into my courses.
He quickly said thank you for calling have a good night and hung up the phone.
He didn't even ask me if I was happy with the help I received or if I needed anything else.! This is the WORST customer service line I have EVER called (besides one other).
Exceeding scheduled maintenance time
Their maintenance issue was listed as having been scheduled for completion on continually further times, and now their site says it is down until further notice.. Not a good time for this considering the first exam is very soon.
Ive had issues with them before with glitches and nuisances but this is a critical problem.
When class is paid for and there are deadlines, one wouldn't expect the course website to be the party that is the issue, but in this case it is. Unfortunately math class is not hosted through our own schools' website, because that one has never given me trouble.

My Pearson's MyMathLab Review
Pearson's survey question: "In one to two sentences, how would you describe MyMathLab to a friend who will be using it next semester?" Me: Your life will suck. The program does not accurately match what the teacher is instructing you to do.
Their products are overpriced and I feel like I have been scammed. I loved the Alex education program in math 95. But when I had to switch to Pearson's everything was terrible. I was charged a $100 for a product I already payed for and the customer service was terrible.
I could not understand what this lady was saying. I do not mind talking to people from India, but I could not understand what this Woman was saying. I do not think she could understand what I was saying either.
I have been home schooled since 7th grade and have used over 15 different online education platforms during my education and Pearson's is by far the worst, as well as the most expensive. I am severely disappointed in their service.

Worst online homework experience ever
The lab and mastering portion of their terrible lineup is the clunkiest website I have ever used. Each click requires you to wait 2 seconds before something happens on the screen, and if you have one accidental comma, or any deviation from what they think the answer is, the question will be marked wrong.
Every time I try to click the close keyboard button, it instead submits my answer, marking it wrong even though I was trying to close the keyboard to finish the quetion. Don’t eve get me started on their textbooks, either.
Each page is a wall of text with terrible explanations and a lack of visuals. Their e reader is worse than Windows 1994.

Pearson Customer service is really bad.
Called Pearson Vue on 10/25/2017, after a long message I got connect to a person who I believe in India. After he asked me for all the information and I gave the case number which opened by the test center, he put me on hold for 10 mins.
Then he came back and asked if i took the exam. I said yes then he put me on hold for another 10 mins. Then came back and said I need to wait until the Friday 10/27/2017 so they will give me more detail. Pearson Vue customer service really don't know what to do and really wasting people time.
I just don't want to deal with them again. Stay away from them if you can

What the *** kind of quiz is 60 questions long?? Not including that most questions were 2-4 parts!
I'm using it right now for a macroeconomics course and I absolutely despise it. It takes me forever to complete homework and quizzes. Most homework problems are 10 parts, but only worth one point. At least give me an incentive to complete this never ending assignment!
The first quiz I took glitched and I was marked down for answers that were correct. The graphing problems are incredibly vague as are the questions.
Pearson honestly consumes so much of my time. I understand putting in effort to receive a good grade, but Pearson is a bit extreme with the workload.
