Pearson Education - Frustrating

I use Pearson online course for a summer session. But tonight June 24, they choose to update their servers from around 8pm -12 pm on Sunday the next day. By doing this anyone who wants to do homework from those hours cannot. Anyone who wants to study from there cannot. Anyone who wants to access the e-text cannot. What makes this especially bad, is that this is happening toward the end of the summer course when tests abound and deadlines for online homework approach closer. It is such an inconvenience to not be able to do homework on the time they because of some update. People should not have to not do their homework because of other people. This has happened multiple times across several weekends and and despite all these updates, there appears to be no visible of substantial beneficial change to any of these so called updates. Contacting anyone is atrocious and tedious. Numerous customers have complained on Twitter at them on multiple weekends and nothing changes. All they get are the carbon-copy machine made answering-machine-like insultingly acting-like-we-are-trying-so-hard responses that do nothing. It's obvious the don't learn from their mistakes, because this keeps happening.

Pearson Education products specially mymathlab is the best in the entire educational electronic platform. I have used the other systems none has the reliability and precision of mymathlab!

Pearson Education - Mathlab

I had to use Mathlab as part of an online course. This was really annoying, as the app rejected correct answers. It's easy to see because it then displays just what you typed in. This affected my score. It was really expensive to buy the required access, so I didn't receive good service for the cost. I complained to the instructor in the course, but she said she couldn't do anything about the way the app works or the score, and that I would have to complain to Pearson. I'm making an A in the class, even with the problems, but I'm obsessive about my grades. This isn't my error, it's the programming. What goes wrong with it than it can't see the correct answer?

Pearson Education - Second course taken

The Pearson math lab and physics lab are garbage. Poorly worded questions lead to frustrating experiences. Ambiguous examples and poor instructions. Also the idea of homework is to learn concepts but you loose points for using hints. Other courses I work the question, read the text/other resources till I learn the concept never worrying that I will not get credit if I try the question more than 5 times. There is no credit for your work nor is there feedback on your understanding of a concept other than your write or wrong. Pearson is taking education in the wrong direction. I now schedule my classes around professors that use Pearson online products. Pearson in the classroom is the sign of a lazy professor!

Pearson Education - I cannot finish my homework.

Most of my semester was fine until the last month. Now I am sitting for 10 minutes at a time to input ONE answer to a FIVE part question, so now it will take me an entire day to finish a homework assignment. Over the course of a week I have tried to complete one assignment and cannot. There is no scheduled maintenance going on just poor servers. I am beyond irritated with the lack of customer support, they want me to jump through hoops and sign up just to even send them my situation. I should not have to deal with a communications gap and poor server management as someone who is expected to adhere by my due dates.

Pearson Education - You don't work with students in need.

I am a 21 year old college student who completed all of my online work during the trial period because I cannot afford an access code. Paying for school 100% out of my own pocket, being too young to receive financial aid based on my own income instead of my parents (who do not help with my college funding), 75 dollars for every single one of my classes is hard. Especially, when I am a full time student and can only work three days out of the whole week. I made a 96% in my Human Communications class and because I cannot afford the access code, they are dropping the 100 point Pearson Lab credit, (for the tests that I already took and aced) taking my grade down to a 78%. They say the only solution is that I buy the access code. At the end of the semester. When I am about to pay summer tuition fees of up to $4,000. Even though I spoke with my professor at the beginning of the semester and she said I would receive credit if I completed the online tests during the trial period, I am not receiving credit. All I am doing is trying to get through college without ripping my hair out but all these big companies (claiming to care about students) keep throwing outrageous dollar signs in our faces and screwing us over. Where is the humanity. We don't even have real jobs yet.
