Details
Ordered a book package with lab. Was waiting. Then received email saying it was on back order. Great. I decided to just cancel the order and order the online lab and get to work on my class, using the digital text online. That worked great. HOWEVER, they sent me the first order and charged me $260 for the same thing I bought. No accountability that I can see. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get help. I will steer everyone away from buying from this company. I have filed around five help requests and no one will contact me. disgusted with this criminal organization.

Pearson Education - Unable to access text book via Revel

It has been going on over a week now and I still cannot log in to Revel. My class has had labs and quizzes already. I am going to have to buy a 2nd hard copy version just to learn. Their customer support has offered me nothing. I call them and all they can say is they handed it off to some upper level support person. No get well date or temporary access to another Ebook. They say sorry many times but offer no compensation for the subscription time I am missing. All I am asking for is something to take my class with. They cannot provide it. I have paid for something i have no access too. Will be reaching tout to BBB about giving money for a product they are not providing. I just want some kind of acknowledgement from them and their lack of support.

Pearson Education - Awful Tech Support

Every issue I have had (and it's been the second day) has ended in me having to solve it on my own - wasting hours of time trying to figure out something simple. For example, for a weird issue with linking my account to BB I was directed to watch a nonexistent video. I have used their support service twice so far. Both times their answer has been "contact your school". Worst customer service I've seen in years. While other companies have tried to improve relations...these idiots are stuck in the 90s. That's what happens when you outsource to India....it is 100% the fault of the company, and these schools who are supporting this.

Well, I was on hold with these people for about an hour. I have so much to do. So much homework and other things. If you can't run a company then don't run it at all. Plz change management. I would lolly like to have a company that could actually answer the phone for a student in need. Hope my review helps you structure your company better cuz right it looks like it needs some help. Pearson Education - No Help at Pearson Higher Education for College Instructors

You can no longer reach someone at Pearson Higher Education Publishing using an "800' number. No number is provided. This is deliberate, because their new corporate "strategy' is to funnel all requests for desk copies through the sales rep, who is available...whenever. I have been waiting for 24 hours for my rep to get back to me about desk copies which were ordered several weeks ago and haven't arrived. I do not know whether they were lost in the mail, whether my college mailroom lost them, or whether they were ever sent. To figure this out I need to reach my rep, and she isn't responding either to calls or e-mails. I'm pretty fed up at this point, and will probably have to cancel my order with our college bookstore and just adopt texts from other publishers at the last minute.

Pearson Education - Terrible customer service, Defective product

I am an educator and I ordered a textbook for my students. After ordering, I found out that students cannot access the lab instructions for the book unless they buy a $24 access code for the Pearson website (this is on top of a $148 textbook.) I purchased the code myself, and then discovered the lab instructions for around 12 chapters in the second half of the book were missing. I emailed and called Pearson repeatedly. After six weeks I was told that the textbook authors never wrote the instructions for the labs in the second half of the book. At this point, it was past the time where we could ship the books back to the publisher. I feel like they did this on purpose to stick us with these defective textbooks. The book is somewhat useless without the lab instructions. I feel this is a bait-and-switch on me and my students. Shame on you Pearson.
