Pearson Education in Phoenix, Arizona - Pearson Helpdesk support is not responsive

Third time I've called in, and have been waiting on hold FOREVER. The last call was answered after 30 minutes; the guy took my info, and was given a CALL BACK number, then the phone went dead. Did I get a call back? NO. I tried online chat; the guy has apologized times now, but not offered any help. He keeps telling me to call my school helpdesk, and the school helpdesk says that they contracted Pearson to take care of these problems.

Allows for lazy professors to get paid to not teach, while students have to dish out ridiculous amounts of money for an overpriced "interactive learning tool" that only "teaches" through forced memorization, not understanding. Money goes to the mega-corporations and...

My name is Allexis Dawson and I had so many problems with my math labs. The tool bar was always across the middle of the page sometimes I wouldn't even be able to fill in an answer to my question. Everyday I pray it doesn't take five min to load each section of each...

To start, this program looks like it hasn't been updated in at least the past decade. We know it has been updated though, because the information is current, so why would such a gigantic company not take the time to redesign these programs so that they're more student...

I spent 160 dollars on this textbook for access to this product, and it is useless. More than once it crashed and lost my progress. It loads poorly, it is glitchy, and even if I did not have these technical errors, no one could possible learn from it. It asks broad...

Pearson Education Exploring Office 2013 Review from Westminster, Louisiana

Page 766. Makes a reference to Don and Matt purchasing a house together. Pearson may want to keep up with what they percieve to be the times, but I find the obvious reference to homosexuality very offensive, and think that if they want to be accommodating or inclusive they should not do it at the expense of those of us who know that this is foul and wrong. From now on, I will seek another publisher. I see no reason, other than trying to spread their *** agenda to include *** like this.

Pearson Education in Kent, Ohio - My IT Lab

This program is completely awful. I had to use this program for a class in my undergrad studies and it didn't teach me anything, the only thing it had provided for me was frustration. Many of the activities I had to complete I already knew how to compute, but the system would only allow you to do it exactly their way. In some instances even the way they wanted you to do it still would not work. Absolutely terrible program that should not be used for any type of course in any substance whatsoever. If schools are going to continue to use this program for classes, it really needs to be revised just for the sanity of future students.

Pearson Education's PARCC test is (still) Full of ***

I am a freshman at Los Alamos High School, and for 2 years in a row I have had to deal with this, for lack of a more poignant term, *** Today I just took a 'practice test' The reason provided that Pearson needed a practice run of the test again, After sucking up 2 months of my 8th grade year with their test, Was to 'fix bugs'. You should not be 'fixing bugs' in your test after nearly 9 months of testing. This excuse is, once more, *** Furthermore, the test questions, this year and last, were utterly absurd. In the language arts test, which I just had to do a practice run of today, There were multiple right answers. There was only one way to earn points on the question. You must pick the 'right' answer and citation for that answer. This means you have a one in 16 chance of guessing which right answer is actually 'right'. *** During last year's math test, I was asked the following question, word for word. "A hose is filling a pool with a volume of 25 liters of water. How long will it take to fill the pool?" Any person with a basic understanding of math will understand that this is impossible to solve, as one has no method of discovering how fast the water is put into said pool. Furthermore, This was an extended response question. You have no method for even 'guessing' the right answer. Quite frankly, *** The truth is, these Bullsh*tting *** get payed and subsidized to 'fix' their test. But it's not broken. They get funding to 'fix' the test, and don't need to 'fix' the test. The only evidence they use for needing to 'fix' the test is failure rates of students. Which is why the test is designed to be failed. And why its enforcement by law under the threat of job loss from teachers, Is ***
